Southeast Asia – My Travel Plan

Southeast Asia

As some of you might already know, I am going to pursue my dream and go traveling. I’ve always been addicted to travel and exploring new countries, cultures and hidden places… A few weeks from now i am off to my big adventure to southeast asia. I’ve been asked what is actually my itinerary and my plan for those few month. After giving it some thought i must tell you the truth: i have no idea, i have no real plan or fixed itinerary. What i know for sure is the list of countries i would like to visit (plus/minus 1 country)

I also know that i first fly to New Dehli, India on 6th of October and going to spend 3 weeks in north India visiting Dharamshala, Rishikesh, Amritsar, Varanasi and few stops in between. After India I will fly to Vietnam, which would be beginning of November. And then at some point on the 16th december I should/have to be in Bangkok to meet up with a friend. Whats gonna happen in between is still unknown, what makes it even more exciting. I do not want to plan too much in advance, as it never happens exactly as one plan. So why not just relax, take a deep breath, go with the flow and be open to what southeast asia is preparing for me.

Oh, and if you are somewhere around that side of the world, drop me a line and we go for the fresh coconut on the beach!

just wanted to add something ;)

I think I can’t handle the things with what to pack, how to handle the money, how much money, what I really need for such a big trip… do you have any tips or something? :)

Packing is quite easy: as less as possible, as light as possible. But one hoodie for cold night buses and woolen scarf is a must for me. Leggings always come in handy as well. Rest of my cloth is something light, coz it is hot in Southeast Asia. When I started my trip, I had a budget of 1000€ per month. Since I extended from 6 month to 9 month, my budget shrinked. But so far I have been spending 700€ per month on average. I also keep a record of my expenses on my iPhone, every time I withdraw or change money, I’ll take a note of it.
My tip for long travel: do not be afraid, be open-minded and ready for unpredictable and adventurous.
Hope it helps and will motivate u to start packing ur backpack ;))

      Dear Martina!
Thank you so much for your comment and honesty! I am glad to hear that you like my blog :) Everyone can do that, believe me. One just need some inspiration or motivation :) But yes, I know what you mean. I was scared, and I am scared from time to time even now, especially since I started to travel alone. I was traveling with a friend till beginning of January, now I am alone. But you are never alone! I meet so many people on my way, we travel together and then we go apart. And then I meet someone again.
So do not be afraid, life is too short to skip on traveling coz of the fear :)
