It was my fifth or sixth time in Bangkok and I just can not get enough of it! I can not explain what is it about this city that I love so much. But every time I come here, I get this feeling, that I wanna live here for some time! Yes, you need good nerves in Bangkok! You need a lot of time to get from point A to point B, because of insane traffic jams. Yes, you need to haggle if you don’t want to overpay, when taking motorbike taxi or tuk-tuk, and yes, you would be still stuck in traffic.Yes, there are ALOT of tourists and westerners around. Yes, you would feel your sweat dripping down your back at all times from high humidity and insane hit . Yes, it is full of expensive places and you would be surprised to find out that Bangkok is not cheap, not at all. But yes, I still love it. You might also be surprised to find out that it is quite clean (compared to Hanoi, Phnom Penh or other big cities in Southeast Asia), there are plenty of tasty street food options (and yes, I tried many of those and never got any stomach problems) as well as cheaper markets where you can get great clothes, jewellery, souvenirs and more.
This time we came to Bangkok just for one night: stayed in a hostel in a new for me district, went for a walk to Lumpini park (where we hoped to see lizards, but they were unfortunately hiding from us), took a local bus to Khao San road, ate amazing street Pad Thai for 30 Baht (0.8€!!!), had all-you-can-eat dinner at amazing vegetarian restaurant (May Kaidee Vegetarian) and took a tuk-tuk back to our hostel (of course after few minutes haggling the price down). No sightseeings, no temple visitings, just walking around, observing, breathing in regular Bangkok life. Yes, I can not get enough of this city and yes, I will be back very soon to explore more. There are still so many places I would like to see here!
