Bali places

So many of my friends and people I met during my travel are going to Bali for christmas and new years. And i remembered that I once had an idea to make a post about my favourite places in the island of gods. So here it is, for those who want to see something interesting and not to get stuck only in Kuta ;)

>> MUST SEE <<

1. Sunrise at the top of volcano: Agung (8hour hike) or Batur (2,5hour hike) – u must do at least one!!! amazing feeling!

2. Uluwatu (go to the left and keep walking until the very end, there is a small path through the bushes which brings u to the most amazing cliff in Bali – sunset spot)

3. Waterblow Nusa Dua
Cool place during high-tide, biggest waterblow I’ve seen live

4. Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park

Interesting park where big statue of Krishna is being build
Possible to sneak out for free through the souvenir shop by getting up the stairs to the second floor (it works – I personally checked)

6. Pura Ulun Danu Beratan

Beautiful temple in Bali; best time to visit is early in the morning when no people

7. Jutiluwih Reis Terraces (Largest rice terraces in Bali)

8. Viewpoint to twin lakes

9. UBUD and its surroundings:

*** Tirta Empul Holy Water Temple
*** Pura Gunung Kawi (SO AMAZING)

10. Abandoned Hotel (Taman Rekreasi Befugul Hotel) near Bedugul

11. Besakih Temple

Big temple complex; go to the top for the view; possible for free – take a road that goes around the complex, it’s on Google.maps.

12. Lempuyang Temple

My favorite temple – 3 stairs temple; very quite and peaceful, almost no tourists, amazing view to Volcano Agung.

1. Uluwatu Temple

Beautiful place for visit, come 1 hour before the sunset

2. Blue point – Single Fin

<Single Fit – surf parties on Sunday’s, lots of people, cool atmosphere>

3. Balangan Beach

Sunset from the cliff on the right-hand side from the beach. Possible to drive almost to the top

4. Cliff near the Rock Bar

My favorite place for sunset in Bali; famous among locals for wedding photoshoots; gates are closing at 7pm

5. Kuta beach

Most touristic place/beach in Bali; amazing sunsets when low-tide; beach for surf-beginners

1. Warung Campur-Campur <Jimbaran>

Local food, 1-3€ for a meal, buffet, cheap fresh coconut and juices, decent wifi, popular among tourists and surfers

On the left side from the entrance granny is cooking the best in Bali Nasi Goreng (fried rice) and Mie Goreng (fried noodles) with veggies, 1-2€

1. Single fin (Bukit) on Sunday’s! Must go!
2. Alleycats (cheep and fun bar in Kuta)
3. Nice spot for sunset and great electro music (-8.674022,115.145721)

1. Hardy’s Nusa Dua

  1. your tips are very helpful…i hope i get the chance to visit Bali in 2016 and do what you suggest, honestly.
